I recently got a 2010 A3 1.6 auto sport. I was looking for something economical and lazy to help me with my excessive use of the M25.... up until Sunday it was perfect.... details here...

Naturally now i own one, i've seen all sorts of horror stories about these gearboxes so i'm a little perturbed at the moment although the link above may be the cause of my woes and not the DSG gearbox!
