coil light flashing

hi all.sorry if this has been covered previously.driving on motorway today.(audi 2.0tdi 170 B7)and coil light came on and car basically wouldn't go above 60.pulled over switched engine off 5 minutes,restarted,light gone off car back to normal.came off motorway,did some local driving,back on motorway and 5 miles into journey same problem.pulled over again waited afew minutes started car everything fine drove home.anybody plz tell me what problem might be?:zx11:

there are so many possibilities that i won't list them all as my keyboard would run out of ink. you need to get it onto a computer and let the ecu tell you what it thinks is wrong, as it will be right, rather than anyone guessing and getting it wrong, which may end up costing more money in the long run with replacing bits that aren't broken.

As above on Zol's point - you definitely need it scanned for faults, no point in guessing whats wrong.
