Courtesy/reading lights

Suddenly these lights have stopped working. I assume its a fuse.... but where is the fuse for these dam lights. Can anyone tell me ?? - I can't find them listed in the manual.

There is a control unit up in the roof light unit J528. And a 26 way connector could possible be the problem or the control unit itself. This should show up using diagnostics so locate a fellow forum member with VCDS.

Just as closure on this, the VW dealer said they could fix this - at an estimated cost of £1000..... I bought a torch!!

Dealer said they checked it.... I've traded the Phaeton now -- got a Tiguan sport... not so many gadgets to go wrong, but I do miss the big beast -- fabulous car.
