Black Edition 2014 facelift

I've been told from dealer that the Black Edition spec is being changed on the latest build for 2014 but they don't know what, will know more in few days from Audi. I'm waiting on a replacement new build car as had turbo problems with mine from new. No delivery date given. Is this true or dealer fluffing for delay in car delivery. I'm hoping it's true as from VW Golf I noted that they start to include extra options as standard shortly before new model is launched. Anyone know any more ?

The Summer Audi magazine (p90-91) says that all A4's will now get DAB as standard (but was always on BE anyway) but also Avants will get electric boot as standard.

yeh i'd seen this too. The standard spec on a A4 SE and S Line now is fairly good. It would make sense to add more to the Black Edition too.

Just had a look at the configurator and the electric boot release is standard on avants now. It was £100 option. I wonder if I can get that back since my car hasnt even been built yet.

I'm not sure what spec you have gone for but I would have waited 6 months for my car once it arrives. Ordered Mid April, build week 40, delivery mid Oct. Apparently all black editions are experiencing delays as they cant make the Rotor wheels quick enough.

I ordered mine early May and no date given as told it could be July, September perhaps. Can't complain though as they handed me the keys to an A5 sportback s line loan car with just 20 miles on the clock, until delivery of my Black Edition. Just waiting on hearing back from the after sales manager.

Much of a standard spec. Options , hill hold assist, metallic paint, storage pack, interior light pack.

Thats ok. Howcome they gave u a loan car if u dont mind me asking.

Js read on another forum there was a Audi Bulletin about the Rotor wheels causing delays to Black Editions

Well just been told that the change is just the paint finish of the front grill. Gloss rather than matt on parts. Nothing exciting.

20" for RS4, 18" 5 spoke std on S line, 19" rotors or segments on BE.
