State of Charge

Just taken delivery of Golf 7 1.4 tsi act GT, and have been checking through all the features ....

Handbook page 23 says press and hold the trip reset button with ignition off to display the vehicle battery charge level (State of Charge) as a percentage.

When I do this, the display says "0" - not "100" as I would have expected. (The battery is definitely fully charged!) Does this readout work in reverse of what would be expected (ie 0 is full and 100 is discharged) or do I have a fault?

Mine reads '80% SOC' as soon as I release the button when the display shows the word 'Battery. Perhaps if your car is literally just taken delivery it does not register a true reading until it reaches a certain minimum level similar to 'Service Due' readouts that need a few days/miles on the clock after service for a reading ?
