octavia rear brake flexis

have been told that the rear flexis should not be clamped due to an internal liner that can be damaged anyone know more or is it just vw being ultra careful.

A clamp will ruin the hose a bit of cling film on the reservoir and the cap screwed down will slow it a little, just work quickly!
