Do you want a spacesaver (I think only this will fit in the gap for it under the boot floor) or a full sized alloy?!

Im pretty sure the wheel well can only house a spacesaver!

I'll go out and check.

My 2009 1.9 TDI with 17" alloys from factory (225/45/17) has a 125/70/16 Kumho spacesaver.

Something like this would do VW/VAG/AUDI/SEAT/SKODA 16" SPACE SAVER SPARE WHEEL... | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VAG-AUDI-SEAT-SKODA-16-SPACE-SAVER-SPARE-WHEEL-/290921778157?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Rims_ Car_Wheels_ET&fits=Cars+Year%3A2009|Car+Make%3AAudi|Model%3AA3&hash=item43bc4a0bed)

Nope if you have 225/45/17 tyres then the 125/70/16 is correct.

oh okay, i was told that have the 16" spacesaver when all my wheels are 17" would cause issues.

Mine came from factory like that so I would say its the correct size.

A spacesaver is only temporary so even if the rolling radius is a bit off, it wont do any harm.
