I was behind an A4 saloon (59 plate roughly the same age as my own car) and noticed that the rear LED tail lights on the driver's side were starting to fail (one or two out). Checked my own car at the weekend (Avant) and noticed the same (one LED out on the rear light panel that lifts with the tailgate) - has anyone else had this problem?

Yes i have and beleive me they cant be fixed, its the connections they become weak through slamming bootlid.

You could try taking the unit out and try a hairdryer in were the bulbs go this cured for a week or so for me.

Fk automotive do the inners for around £112 a pair.

Not sure what to do as I am changing the car soon but also have an MOT looming - if it gets worse I will have to replace. Really disappointed as LED's are supposed to be long life!

as long as more than 50%of the lights work in any 1 lens it will be ok for mot
