Hi there,

I've taken delivery today of my MY2013 Q5 S-Line Plus with MMI Plus. I got the dealer to include the red AMI cable which is showing me album art etc.

However, many of my iPod tracks are missing, I wonder if this is anything to do with apple DRM, as it appears to be only missing the tracks I've purchased from iTunes. Although, I thought iTunes was DRM free these days. I'm using an iPod Touch 2G and as I say album art works.

Does anyone know what's wrong?

I have AMI in my A3 using a 4S, most of my purchased tracks don't work.

I do still think they're protected with DRM tho.

Any pics of the Q5? I love those!

Chris,

I never had any issues with purchased tracks on my A5 which had the older MMI 3G. So very surprised that the q5 doesn't let me play.

Very odd - I'll have a browse online and see whats wrong.

Have you converted them to MP3 (right click on the song in iTunes) and tried?

I am pretty sure (I have a MY13 Q5) that anything with digital rights won't play back this way. As has been said rip them to MP3, re-tag then if you want to retain album info etc and then save them to the jukebox (via SD card). This works really well once you master the re-tagging that's needed to make the album art show up and to delete the tags you don't need.
