headlight washer Control philosophy?

So it appears the washers periodically kick in too when i scoosh my windows but just wondering what the regime is, does it only call for a headlight clean every n'th window wash or something??

Yes I believe so. Think I remember reading it in the manual somewhere...but its effectively something like every 5th time you use it the headlights get a jet blast too. AFAIK headlight washes (spray or wiper) are mandated on all vehicles that have Xenon headlights.

Yep I think it's every 5th or 6th time they will get done after the initial first one.

Very very useful on long winter trips. I used to have to stop half way on my 60 mile work trip to hand wash the headlamps as the output was so poor. The washer reservoir tank is usually larger when headlamp washers are fitted.

Just remembered, you can change the frequency of the headlamp wash via VCDS ;)
