What would be the best dump valve for the new golf gtd mark 7 ? Can you give a link where i could order it ?

Hi and welcome aboard Oscar,
There's little point in having a dump valve on a diesel engine because you don't have a throttle therefore there's no danger of closing off the inlet manifold suddenly at high boost pressures and stalling the turbo.

You'll get the dumping noise but that's it really.

You can get a device to attach to your exhaust costs about a fiver same effect as a dump valve (woooosh)

Please don't - IMO it will ruin your car and practically pointless as stated! ;)

You wonder why you'd take a £20k+ car and fit a barryboy special to it?

If you're youngish Oscar, I can understand you fitting the £5 sound box and best of all....it won't invalidate your guarantee like a dump valve would.

I'd leave it alone

If you have an iDevice try this;

iBoost - Turbo your Car! - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AU8DoAK0Qh8)

Cheaper and only you can hear it :)

Why spoil a perfectly good car with a cheap, tacky and pointless device?!

I am young im only 19 , ive ordered this car at £25,000. But i want some sort of decent noise coming off of it ? as i used to have a corsa vxr that was maped to stage 2 and was making a very nice poping sound.
What could i do to create a nice sound off of the golf?

It's all there in the video - it uses the iDevices accelerometer

You can get a fake blow-off whistle noise thing that fits to your tailpipes but the sound coming from your engine compartment will still be tractor-esq.

You're spending 25k on quite a decent car. Don't ruin it with bolt-on Chinese junk, enjoy what you have :)

The car should sound quite gruff internally if they fit the soundaktor device that is on my 170TDI Roc - sounds a hell of a lot better than the 140TDI. Of course it's all artificial in the cabin only and externally both engines sound the same. When I hear about aftermarket devices such as the one being spoken about here, it reminds me of the old VW advert where all of the modified Golfs are crying. Not a fan of aftermarket accessories unless they're OEM parts (I added a Scirocco R gearstick to my Roc as it is so more ergoonomic, and added in a slidey top cup holder from the Golf instead of the cheap-*** moulded scoop out cup holder fitted as standard as well as GTI stainless steel pedals).
