Gear Box Code

is there a way to find out the code for the gearbox on my dads touareg without physically looking at the gear box, can we not find it out somehow on the internet with other details, i.e - vin number etc

It will be on the data sticker inside the service book front cover or in the spare wheel well.

yep just remembered myself haha, dont suppose you would know where to find the code for the final drive would you??
