Hello guys!
I would like to know what is this connector for?
Yesterday i lifted the car and found an unpluged connector, and i followed the wire and this grey connector was that.

And an other question is about my injectors are leaking at the top,i need to change the metal pressure pipes, and when i change it what is the easiest way to start the car?
Or any advice will be good!

Thanks Ricsi!

That would be the needle lift sensor which is built in the injector nr3, very common failure on 2001 to 2005 engines ! I never had one 150 Bhp pre 2000 ever fail ! The injectors leak from the leak of pipes, get new copper seals from dealer and new rubber hose- it's sold by the meter ! I would not spend money on high pressure pipes, they are tappered so should not leak in theory unless idiots tightened too much so they cause a dent in the unions !

Hello!
Thanks for your reply,i asked this little grey connector because i found it unclipped, car runs fine is it possible?
My injectors are leaking on the top where the high pressure pipes connects, and also from the rubber house but i changed them it seems leaking again...
I will buy new copper seals and change it i think im also change the rubber houses, last time i used 3,2mm rubber houses what is the good size of these?

Thanks Ricsi!

If that connector were fitted on my audi, it would be the ENGINE SPEED SENSOR connection, and i'll be damned if it isn't the same on a vw. The needlelift is the brown connector to the left..

Hello!
Today i changed the little seals for the fuel leakage return lines, and also new rubber houses i will see 1-2 days if its leak.
Yes the brown conenctor is the needle lift sensor, gray one is for the speed sensor?
I got that unclipped,my speedomater is works or what is that connector for?
And where is the connection point for that? If some1 got any picture please share!

Thanks Ricsi!

Are you sure the Engine speed sensor haven't been replaced, and that the one you found isn't the old one ? I replaced it on my Audi a couple of week ago, and didn't bother to remove the old one.( It was
soo tight down there, and it seemed I had to take off the pre-cathalyst to get the old one out) This sensor is for the ECU, as it needs to know the crank's position in order to contron the injection timing.
Just seek it up at Ebay.de- Audi 2,5 tdi kurbelwellen sensor. Does your tacho works ?

Forgot to answer your last question here. If you really wants to replace the metal injector pipes ( really dont understand why though ? ) you pull the rear fuelline of the filter, the one at the cars left side. Then, put a piece of a
plastic bag over the pipe on the filter and put the fuelline back again and tighten the screw. If you manage to do this quick ( is no problem really) and also take the plastic out and reconnect quick after you've changed the metal pipes,
your car will start after 2-3 cranks.

Hi, that connector doesn't go to the grey Engine speed sensor connection. The Engine speed sensor have no connector in the lower end, its all molded together in one piece.
If I should guess, its the connector for the engine mount, if I find time I'll check it up later tonight. Nice water pipe !

HI!
Yes i can see the vss sensor its black and bolted on the transmission.
You are right about engine mount, maybe its not oem and does not have a connector?
Yes this little pipe was 3-4 hour work.....i hope its not fail for 10year more :D
Now i just have to stop this oil leakings as you can see....but in this side where is the connector i got a leaky fuel leakage return rubber house that i changed yesterday and cleaned a little bit i will see is that help :D
And an other thing oil is not coming from oil pan seal its somewhere upper...maybe crancshaft seals both...:/

Thanks Ricsi!
