Engine management light

Hi,

I am new to this so please bare with me.

I have just bought a Audi A4 line 170 limited edition and have just degreased the engine and now I have the engine management light on!!

The car seems to drive ok but I have also noticed that when the car is ticking over it is up and down and can let out some smoke.

If anyone would know what can cause this I would very much apprieciate some help before I take it to the garage to have it looked at (which will cost a fortune no doubt)

You need a fault code scan.

However I would check with Audi if your injectors are subject to a recall

Thanks I will but just seems strange the light wasn't on before I put degreaser on today... Hope this doesn't cost me a fortune......
