Photos will be forthcoming, but only after I have the car cleaned to my standard. Despite being a 2006 car with only 59k miles on it, it doesn't seem to have been very well loved.

I don't mind playing about with things, so I have a Ross Tech VCDS cable on its way to me. First thing I will be doing is an Auto Scan, then figuring out what will be involved in me adding sat nav to the car.

Depends what system is fitted already.

MMI Basic/+ with the red screen above the centre air vents or MMI High with he large colour screen above the centre air vents.

If its HIGH, it's significantly easier to fit nav.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Luckily for me it IS high! It already has a sharkfin on the roof too(for the telephone), so I need to find out if it has the GPS antenna built in to it. When I am fairly sure what I need I think I will start a new thread in the right place just to get some confirmation. I'm hoping it will just be a DVD drive and harness.
