Hi there,
I've owned a few cars but I got my 2010 Mk6 Golf 2.0 TDI last summer and I'm very happy with it. It's the nicest car I've owned with its plush leather seats, satnav headunit, heated seats, buttons on steering wheels, 17" alloys etc. I can't see myself needing another car for ages now.
I briefly owned an 2008 R32 and as much as loved that car, I felt I was being shafted with road tax and the low mpg (means paying loads of fuel duty). The R32 was bloody awesome, if a little heavy and slower than a Skyline I used to own ages ago, and an Impreza STI I once had too, also the throttle had a bit of a delay so you couldn't heel toe it. The R32 was a nice place to be and sounded so good with its 6.
So I did the fast car thing and don't think I'll go back. Even if I get a GTI it will never feel as fast as my old Skyline, so everything feels slow unless I get an M3 or something lol. And I need to save money now and get a house so it's diesel Golf action for me now lol. :cool:
