Good evening ladies and gentlemen

It has been a couple of years since i last posted on your forum. Back then i had an alternator problem on my A4 which i managed to rectify with the sound advice of a few of your members. I am hoping someone can help me once again.

I have recently purchased a 2004 A3 3.2 Quattro showing 64k with full service history, after around 400 miles the emmisions control light decided to brighten up my day. I am thinking it is caused by a misfire due to hesitation on acceleration, fluctuating power delivery and a slightly uneven idle.

No doubt i am completely wrong yet again though lol.

Are there any members in the Great Yarmouth /Norwich area that has the equipment, knowledge and time to assist me ?

Anyones time and help will be adequately rewarded.

Regards

Wayne

Sorted. On returning from offshore and after some reading up i just removed each low tension lead from each coil whilst the engine was running until there was no change in engine note signifying the problem cylinder had been found. £41 coil and the light went out after 3 starts with the problem rectified.
