Right guys first time putting air in my A4. I have the car 3 weeks now, so thought I would check the tyre pressures. Dunlop SP Sports 225/50R/17's. I can find no sign of a tyre pressures label. Looked on door pillars, and in filler lid but no sign. So what pressures should I be looking for?

With 17" rims I asume you have an SE. You should be quite comfortable with 36psi unless you are driving it as if it were an S line!
Good for economy to keep the pressure up.
much may depend upom what tyres you have.

Thanks Boy yes it's an SE, so you reckon 36 psi all round should be ok.

For careful driving, I would say so. I don't know what is recommended though.
Pressure label should be on the rear face of the driver's door.

Looked there Boy, but no sign of it, Just normal driving style so will try 36psi.

I just did mine tonight with the same wbeels as yours (albeit an A6) and the sticker in the filler cap says 32 fronts, 29 rears. I was surprised it was so little for the rears.

Brycie I would have thought the pressures would have been higher. As I don't appear to have a sticker on my car I would only have been guessing. I may halve the difference and try 34psi all round.

I know what you mean a4inver, I was surprised too. On all my previous cars, I've just kept to 32 all round. But as I was driving from Lancashire to Glasgow last night, I checked specifically. As I say, I don't know what difference the lighter body weight of the A4 would make.

The sticker says that's for 225/50/17 94. Do you want me to post up a pic of the sticker so you have it for future reference? It gives you an idea of what other wheel sizes you can use, say when getting winter tyres for example.

I would appreciate a pic Brycie just for a reminder.

If you go over to Audi Parts they will order you a new sticker which is specific for your VIN.

I think from going by posts on here, they're about £5.

This may help if your car has the factory fitted wheels, but not if you've changed the wheels for a different size:

Tyre Pressure Search (http://www.kwik-fit.com/tyre-pressure-search.asp)

Yeah the wheels are the standard 19 inch black edition ones can't remember the name of them but most black edition have them on I will keep searching the sticker on the door says 35 psi in the front tyres and 33 psi in the back tyres but for me the back feels a bit soft with 33 psi in

Another one here, but if no joy on this one, there are plenty to look through as a result of googling 'tyre pressure guide'. Hope you find it.

Sorry, meant to attach that link to the above post. If you're struggling, feel free to PM me your reg number & wheel/tyre details and I'll try searching. Not got any inside information unfortunately, would just be doing Google searches for it.
