Hi,

I'm about to do my first DIY job on my 2010 Audi A4. One of the wheel bearing is making a loud humming noise as I'm driving changing pitch/volume the faster I go. The Haynes manual/forums say I have to replace the upper arm pinch bolts when I change the bearing but my question is how do I find the specification or part numbers for these bolts to order up some prior to removing the originals. I can't afford for it to be off the road more than a day as it's our main car and had the isofix child seat in it, the other two cars are not suitable. I've seen bolts on fleabay but I can't trust that these are for my model and are the correct spec i.e diameter, length, material, strength, it's just too unknown. I'd rather not order them from the main ******* as they are only bolts at the end of the day, I have a local specialist fixing company I'll be able to get the right ones from if I know what I'm looking for. Any help out there?

Are you fairly confident in completing this task- I tried changing the rear discs on the MK3, simple enough in theory but not when the bolts are seized and no room to work due to no ramp.

Buggered up a wheel bearing in the process as you have to remove these to get the disc off and car was off the road for two days, lesson learnt.
