Number of niggly little problems with my car since i inherited it from a colleague. Wondered if anyone had the same issues, and whether they would be covered under warranty.

1. When receiving a phone call, call can be answered, but radio immediately cuts in. Other person cannot hear the radio, but call is impossible to continue. Ring off and call back only resolution.

2. Gearbox really creaky and rubbery feeling. So much worse than Octavia vrs I had before. In fact worse than any car i have owned.. Is this just a trait ?

3. Heated rear window has broken element already.

4. When accelerating above 3,000 revs, seems to be a rattle from the engine. Not a diesel rattle, more of a vibrating, tinny rattle.

I really want to enjoy the car but these niggles are spoiling what otherwise is an excellent company car.

Interested in people's opinions. Thanks in advance.

Get it into the dealer and get a fault code scan done for the electric bits.

Have you done what Chris suggested?

What was the outcome?

I'm booking the car with Derby Audi to see whether any fault codes emerge through VCDS - but mechanically, any ideas on the other items?

Thanks

I have a 12 plate . i had a Octy 2.0t VRS not so long back the gearbox was similar in feel to the audis, maybe a tiny bit shorter throw across the gears in the skoda, sounds like you may have a problem to me as the gearbox on my A4 feels good, and better than the passat i had in between.

Appreciate the feedback thanks. I expect to get fobbed off by the dealer, but hopefully they will see what i mean. Very frustrating with heated rear screen.

Just realised 60 plate should be late 2010/early 2011 so it could still well be under warranty depending on the registration month.

All should be covered FOC pending warranty status.

Late update on this. Audi replaced parts of the gearbox, and replaced the heated rear window after a bit of a battle. Came back with a dealer inflicted scratch. Luckily they admitted liability and repaired it. Fingers crossed it will be a bit more reliable from now on.
