If it's a TDI PD then it's 40,000 miles or 4years if it's not a PD then 60,000 and also change tensioner.

Whats an easy way of checking your engine type, is the year it was made or a particular code as part of the engine number.

The engine code will be the three letters in your 9 digit engine number. Mine is ATD45**36. I would say that your engine is almost definitely a PD unit.

My engine number starts AUY, does this confirm its a PD engine?

Yes it's a Pd, a 115bhp unit.

Nice to know my Main Dealer only did it 10,000 miles late when they forgot to do it at 60,000

:p

Wonder why I am no longer using them?

List of reasons would be tooooooooo long

Mine will be done on age then, rather than miles.

Although it's our family's "big car" it only does 5000 miles a year so will never reach 40,000 before it's 4 years old
