Glow Plugs (Which ones???)

Hi,

Can anyone tell if it matters which Glow Plugs I fit to my 2002 Passat 1.9 TDI AWX engine? There are 2 types for this engine, different lengths??? :confused:

Are you getting confused with the coolant pre-heater plug, this is much shorter than the combustion chamber heater plug!

No, I bought some of EBay but when I went to fit them, the one I took (following Haynes Manual) out was a different length, I've been to VW and there is two different lengths for the AWX engine, the parts guy didn't know which one was right and the mechanics where on lunch!

You need to check your chassis number
