To all...
I'm helping organise the first ever Welsh National Motor Show, to be held at Chepstow Racecourse on 26th August this year...
We have secured approx 15,500sq m within the racecourse grounds with the intention of not having to restrict the number of cars per club...
Car Club Cars will be given car passes for entry to the Car Club Area within the racecourse but not admission tickets to the show (see below) also the cars will obviously be in a secure area within the racecourse...
We're hoping to attract a very broad spectrum of cars from the many various clubs and the more the merrier...
The show is still partly being put together but so far we have...
Opening the Show WBO & IBF Super Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe.
Live Action Arena - Demo's from 'Steer From The Rear & 'Opposite Lock'.
D1 Cars.
DJ & MC live stage all day with entertainment etc..
Hankook Rally & Drift Car Experience. (with passenger rides)
4x4 Experience. (with passenger rides)
Helicopter rides.
Super Car Lawn.
Audio Village.
Family Fun Arena.
Meguiars Show & Shine.
All the usual Trade Stands etc...
All 'Car Club Cars' will get free entry into the Car Club Area within Racecourse but not admittance to the show itself.
'Car Club' drivers only can now have admittance to the show for just £6.
The Meguiars Show and Shine is £10 to enter on the day, but if purchased with an admission ticket the total cost will only be £15.
This only applies if bought in advance.
The Meguiars Show and Shine will be split into 4 Classes...
Best European Car at Show.
Best Japanese Car at Show.
Best American Car at Show.
Best Modified Car at Show
Each class will win a trophy and prize.
One of the three class winners will win Best at Show (hoping to get Joe Calzaghe to judge the final 4) and will win another trophy and £250.
The trophy for the 'Best at Show' will be a 5ft Nascar style trophy (more info/pics as soon as I can) this will be presented on the day to the winner and will become an annual event.
Joe Clifford, the Editor of Banzai Magazine is going to judge best Japanese Car at Show, and is also offering a years subscription to Banzai Magazine as an added prize...
Classic American Magazine have agreed to do the same as have Max Power..
Also have got conformation from Hankook they will sponsor the 'Best Wheels at Show' and will give the winner a new set of Hankook Tyres...
More to follow...
All the 'Car Club' cars will be GREEN TRAFFIC and will have exclusive use of 'St Arvans Gate' from 07:00 to 09:30, this will mean you won't have to queue with the public traffic and will ease any congestion.

Unfortunately the 'Fire Force' top fuel car has had to go due to insurance liability issues, also 'Opposite Lock' to be replaced with 'Steer From The Rear', but various other things being added so please keep an eye on www.walesmotorshow.com (http://www.walesmotorshow.com) to see any changes...
I've been asked a quite few times now about the availability of camping this year, as some of you may know, we are planning camping next year with all night entertainment and bars etc as the show will be over two days, but we weren't planning on offering any camping this year.
As it would appear this show is going to be very popular and i've had a number of enquiries regarding camping this year (as all the Car Club Cars must be in place by 09.30) I have spoken with the venue and they have said that we can make use of the area within the Racecourse grounds on the left as you enter through St Arvan's Gate for camping for those who really need to camp over if they are travelling some distance, then you are very close to your cars.
This year only, as we weren't planning this, the venue has agreed to let those who want to camp over on the Friday night stay over free of charge (usually £5) i'm told there is a standpipe for water, but I don't know if power will be made available this year...
As this is a bit of a 'last minute' idea, those wishing to camp over on Friday night please write very clearly on the bottom of their entry forms and I will send them a Fri night pass for their cars along with their Saturday Car Club pass and the required tickets, cars without a Fri night pass will not be admitted into the grounds until 07.00 Saturday morning, so please let me know if you would like to do this, I don't want anyone stuck outside on Friday night...
Obviously I will be as flexible as possible with regards the camping, but camping space will be limited so will have to be on a 'first come' basis.
Any questions or anything I can help with please ask...
Cheers,
Toby.
