Ok, so this is a fresh start since thelast thread seems to have petered out:

1.9 Tdi 110 AFN 1998, 289,000km.

Idles around 800-850rpm - sounds poorly!

Limp mode - flashing glowplug light on dash.

These 3 fault codes:

01268 Quantity adjuster N146
00765 Slide position sensor
00539 Fuel temp sensor G81

New cambelt fitted - mechanical timing OK.

New MAF (hence all the other codes have gone and it idles a bit better...)

My analyser shows injector 1 and 2 as being 2.98 different to injector 3, whils injector 4 starts up a bit different and drifts down to '0' different. Is this significant?

I have invested in an eBay Vag-com lead (Sorry Esh - couldn't wait!) - but can't get Vag-com to find a port on my laptop. The drivers are shown as instaling in a directory called 'drivers' in the Vag-com instructions, but this directory does not appear. I used the generic drivers in with the lead - forced the port to port 2 from 10, so you can select the same one in Vag-com but it won't see the lead!

So now I can't fix my car or my diagnostics.

The car was less to buy than Andrew Page want for a pump - which is not guaranteed to fix it... I feel so::aargh4:

I'm sick of people telling me that!:(

OK, so do I fit one myself, or take it the diesel specialist.

Where is the best place to buy one? Is £595+vat a good price for a recon?
(it certainly doesn't seem good to me!)

Anyone out thre been down this road and not had to break the piggybank/sell organs?

OK,ok, over a month later but SOME progress...

Thanks to all those who said pump fcuked - a second-hand pump was finally sourced and fitted (couldn't bear to spend more on recon pump than car...).

It now idles ok, runs smooth, fault codes clear, BUT...

No power - turbo inoperative!
