Hi All!
Iv recently just purchased a 2005 Audi A3 Sport Back 2.0tdi with 119k miles with fsh.
Iv owned it for around 2 weeks and although at first i could feel a little rumble when it idles (common i was told/heard as its just something they "do") its alot more lumpier when sitting still.
I took it to my local garage to see if they would have a quick glance over it and plug it in to their diagnostics machine to see if it threw out any codes.
It did throw one code out, 18051 - P1643 and the wording with those codes were - Electronic Control Module Defective, Multifuntional control module.....Does this mean the ECU is buggered?
I was sold a warranty with the car and it stated Electronics were not covered. However looking at my consumer rights from buying from a dealer, surely this shouldnt be a problem for them to still take it off my hands and fix as it appears to have been sold
