Seeing as there should be a few people picking up their car in the next few days it might be nice to post some pictures and impressions all in one place and give details about some of the less well explained features.

I'm picking up my car on Monday and it will have electric seats and keyless entry. I haven't really seen much about how these work and I hope to shed some light on this Monday.

Picked up my wife's Golf this morning - a 1.4 GT DSG in Tungsten

Looks lovely, very jealous. The tungsten silver is a really nice colour- it's between that and the dark metallic blue as far as I'm concerned. After all the whining about the standard headlamps, I think they look fine. The Xenons with the 'angel eyese' look great, but the standard ones look pretty good too. Not that I'll be buying one... not getting a real job for 5 years is going to be tough! They'll be nicely depreciated by then though...

Mine is Night Blue. I hope to get some pictures up tomorrow evening.

I've spotted a few Mk7's in my local area in the past couple of days, they do look really good in the flesh.

Dan, looking forward to seeing the Night Blue as my A6 is the exact same. Is it Pearlescent or Metallic on the Golf? It's pearlescent on the A6.

It's metallic. There aren't many pictures of the night blue in the flesh, but I found these pictures (http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigblogg/8121489851/in/set-72157631848893977/lightbox/).

I'm going to get it cleaned this week and get some pictures of the night blue up as it's looking really dirty!

Hmmm. I think you needed to adjust your camera's white balance to reduce the blueness of those photos.:D

I thought that the ones that fit the Skoda Yeti were suppose to fit the Golf and were considerably cheaper. I think that they fit pipes with 60mm OD. These have been mentioned on maybe this forum but certainly others. I can't remember where unfortunately but too late if you've paid VW prices!!

If you research it properly skoda tail pipes are 50mm shorter than genuine vw tail pipes they look the part as tips do a bit of research mate instead of talking ****
Unfortunately you have paid vw prices as you have a golf

Why do you feel the need to insult another member trying to help others? That isn't the ethos of a forum and you should go elsewhere.

Oh and FWIW I think your White Golf looks ****, but each to there own ;)

each to there own if you don't like it then there is not a lot I can do about that ,as for insulting another member both products are totally different ,the skoda ones look fine the vw ones are totally different quality wise

Did you need any special tools to fit the tips?

Not for me I'm afraid..
I liked the lines of the car before these were fitted.
These dont seem to 'blend in' imo.
But hey ho everyone to their own.

There is an American GTi forum I used to read (not anymore) where as soon as the kids bought their GTis they immediately started modding them which I thought was an American trait. I personally, like my cars to remain as 'stock' as I believe the term is called or at least with the factory fitted options supplied.
But as you say, Chacun son goût.

Anyone got any pictures of Titan Black interior? Preferably on a GT. I've only seen one picture so far on auto-trader liked it so ordered mine with it as I thought it went well with the piano black inserts etc.

Cheers

LED's and bi-xenon's look great. I wish I had custom order these on my MK7 Golf, but waiting until November for delivery was something I didnt have the patience for.
