Servicing Intervals

It would seem that there are two service regimes for the B7 Passat, either 10,000 miles/annual or long life 20,000 miles. My Passat seemes to be set for the former on the service display. Is it possible to change this to the long life type? If so, how?

Hi, same happened to me. YOU can't change it I'm afraid its a trip to the dealers. I Swung by and the tech popped out while I waited and turned the service light off by resetting it for another 10k. When that was up (thus 20K) it went in for a service and changed it over to the 20k intervals. No other way I'm afraid,
