Navigation System

Bought new Golf 3 weeks ago. Navigation system been fine but on way home today got message saying navigation not currently available and that I should insert a valid data disc.

Rang dealer who said see how it is tomorrow!

Does anyone know if this is a temporary VW issue or a problem with my unit?

if there is a problem it will be covered under warranty so no need to worry :rolleyes:

What a relief. I thought it only had a 2 week warranty.

Seriously - I'm not worried - I just wondered if it was a wider issue. Although it is is hassle having to take the car into the dealer so soon after buying it!

You have a standard 3 year/60k mile warranty!

It's maybe just a bug within the system and needs reset.

Sorted it. I must have accidentally ejected the data card which, I now know, is in a data card / cd slot in the glove compartment. My fault - but I would have thought the dealer should have been able to suggest that when I rang them!

Happy days - but least you saved yourself the embarrassment being told that tomorrow by VW!
