Can anyone help? My dad's 97 A4 Avant's central locking is playing up.
When locked from the passenger door or the boot all is ok, whereas the drivers door only locks itself and doesn't arm the alarm.
More worryingly yesterday, the door lock got REALLY HOT, so hot that when the key was removed he was unable to touch the metal part!
Any ideas on what may be at fault?
