Chris, how much do people charge to wrap the window chrome?

I'm going off the plasti-dip idea if I'm honest.

I know it's not a B8, but you get the idea.

Yes mate, I did it myself but I did it with electrical tape as a temporary job.

It only took me half hour or so, and was just a test to see if I like it.

My chrome has gone milky so I don't think I have another option anyway.

I'm just trying to decide if its best to vinyl wrap, black paint or black plasti-dip. I even considered brush painting it carefully, but I'm not sure if I'll get brush marks.

Well i think it looks good! I just rushed into my garage to try a bit the tape does match well with the black doors panels window. My car is white so i think it would look great. Only thing some of the trims are wider than the trim wonder if you can get wider tape. I reckon id be happy with that. Did you stfuggle round the grill were itts rounded. Thanks

Hi mate.

I didn't do the grill, just around the windows on one side.

It may look good on the pix, but there are crossovers and a couple of gaps in real life.

I'd never keep it like that, or use electrical tape permanently.

The worst bit was the fat bit closest to the back (the rearmost bend), the rest looks pretty good though.

My tape wasn't wide enough either but I just used 2 runs.

Go for it mate, I was thinking the same thing myself. Not easy if you don't want any joins though, reckon you would need a whole load of vinyl.

Let us know where you get your vinyl.

Once the weather warms up a bit I'm looking to plasti-dip my grille and fog lights doesn't cost much and if it looks naff I can just peal it off.
