hi, i have a vw passat (2000) my AC has not been working for since it was bought and now the hot weather has arrived i want to use it.
it does not work when on AUTO. i then traced the wire from the compressor (grn/yel) to the box next to the water resovior, i then connected a wire from the battery to the wire and the AC works.
however i do not want to have a loose wire comming out from the battery, therfor does anyone know what is wrong with it, i have a feeling that it may be the pressure switch but can not locate it can anyone help me to locate or enlighten me with a solution
