Hey guys,

I've got myself a 2006 Peugeot Partner, but I'm buggered if I can install the stereo!
The loom in the van has ISO connectors, although they sure as hell ain't wired up as ISO connectors!

Is anyone able to get hold of a wiring diagram for the van? I've spent an age playing with all the cables n my multimeter n can't work out what's going on (was an electronic engineer as an apprentice!) and it might just save me paying out for someone else to do what I really should be able to do!

Cheers

This (http://carstereos4u.co.uk/peugeot-partner-van-car-iso-lead-wiring-harness.html) should solve your problem, and save you the grief of chopping wires.

Sorry, I should have said, I've already tried an adaptor cable like that with no joy!
When a cable like that is used the stereo is pemenantly on, the automatic light dim comes into effect when the engine is started, the automatic volume adjust doesn't work, the steering wheel controls don't work (I bought the lead with the additional patch lead for these controls to work), the external display displays the letter 'N'.

I wish it was as simple as 2 wires Doctle Odd. Like I said in my first post, I'm trained as an electronic engineer, so have a pretty good clue of what I'm doing.

The usual ISO connection would have one DIL 8pin connector purely for the speaker cables. The loom in my van has this connector for the front speakers, however the remaining 4 cables are some other form of control (I assume the steering wheel controls etc), although I cannot find a measureable voltage on any of them whilst using the controls: there should be some change on at least one cable when the steering wheel controls are operated or the lights switched on, I don't find that to happen, hence asking if anyone has a diagram!

Cheers for the replies though everyone, all other ideas welcome!

There's a good crowd of lads there who will sort most problems

Ah, sorry, I thought you just needed power - maybe something like this Connects 2 (http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctspg006-peugeot-206-307-406-607-807-partner-stalk-adaptor-p-9080.html) will be the thing you need? I'm sure if you gave Dynamic Sounds a call, they would tell you for sure.
