Audi Concert System

Hello,

I have an A4 with the audi concert system fitted and am cosidering putting in an aftermarket stereo.

The clarity and power of the concert system is great. Will this still be the same if i replace the standard head unit with a high end after market stereo?

Is the concert system basically a speaker upgrade?

Why do you want to change it if you think the clarity & power is great?!! A good top-end aftermarket unit will be as good, if not better than the concert system. The speakers in all installations bar the ones with the BOSE upgrade are all the same, the concert & symphony just are different headunits.

I have a Sony DAB digital head unit that i want to put in, or i may install an Alpine DVD/TV/Sat nav unit.

Both will work, but you will need some conversion leads, as even in a basic A4 the rear speakers are amplified.

Depending on the age of the car you may also need to find an igniton feed, as there isn't one present on the B6 vehicles.
