I drive an Audi A4 2.0TDi 143 2008 (08) - Thinking of getting it remapped. Two work colleagues have had their cars remapped with Motech (1 has 04 Vauxhall Astra and other has 07 BMW 520D) and recommend getting an ECOMAP. This gives an extra 40BHP plus added MPG if driven sensibly.
Has anybody has this done? Any known problems? Please help.

Hi all, i just would like to mention that i had my a4 2009 model which when i bought it was doing around 40-43 mpg, i was told by jbs auto design in chesterfield that they could get me around 10 mpg if i had it remapped, i had them remap it at a discounted cost of £280, i have had it back to them twice and still no difference, now they dont want to know, i would not recommend using jbs auto design in chesterfield, i feel i have been ripped off

Remapping is definately a good way to go, there are other options too though such as a tuning box like this, means you can whip it off easily and if you change cars you still have the ability to simply switch the programing and change over. Lots of people using these no traveling no waiting either.
Audi A4 2.0 TDI 143 BHP (2008-on) CR-3 - Speedhawk Diesel Tuning Box - Common Rail (http://www.bhpplus.co.uk/Speedhawk-Diesel-Tuning-Box-Common-Rail.html?carid=62&box=true&Info=Audi%20A4%202.0%20TDI%20143%20BHP%20%282008-on%29%20CR-3&plug=CR-3)
I am guessing you are out of warranty so the issue of keeping warranty is not needed.
