Hi all
Problem with my vw touran 1.9 tdi pd engine 105 bhp.
Any ideas please enlighten me so I can prepare myself for the garage bill!
car as been idling very poorly recently and I do remember on a recent trip to the mechanic that there was a problem with no.3 cylinder logged in the computer but never got it looked at as the car ran o.k at that point! It almost seems so rough that it might only be running on 3 cylinders but that's prob a bit extreme! I think it is misfiring on a cylinder ?
Did try a fuel system cleaner but it hasn't cured the problem even if it did get any better which I'm not sure it did?
My limited knowledge is telling me the injectors need cleaning as it it not spraying fuel properly in one cylinder? Could this give the fault code or will it be something electrical? Any other ideas - please tell me it's just the cold weather !
