A4 Electric Window Drivers Side Not Working But Activates Passengers Side, Passenger Side Doesn't Activate Itself

Couldn't really summarise the problem in a catchy title (sorry admins).

My Car: Audi A4 2002 TDi

My Problem: Electric Windows (front)

Description:

- drivers side control does not activate drivers side window
- drivers side control does activate passenger side window
- passenger side control does not activate passenger side window
- auto window open/close on key fob ONLY opens/clsoes passender side window

These is how my car is all the time (i.e. not intermittant)

I can't believe its the switches in the doors because of the key fob control working at least for the passenger side door.

In the name of reducing the damage to the environment through excessive use of my aircon, PLEASE HELP MEEEEE.

If its the relay-whatcha-ma-callit then please direct me to how to open and fix it!

My girlfriends A4 estate has just developed the same fault hence why I'm searching on here!!!

Drivers side window switch will NOT open drivers window
Drivers side window switch WILL open passenger window
Passenger side switch will NOT open passenger window
Auto open/close on key fob WILL open/close both

Very strange.......

I had a similar problem when the mrs had a Mk3 Golf. After much testing and head scratching it turned out to be the drivers side switches. Replaced them for a couple quid from the scrappy.
