Set idle speed

Does anybody know if it is possible to permanently increase the idle speed on a 2003 1.4 bby polo using vagcom (and how) or if there is a mechanical way to do this?

If the throttle body has been cleaned and adapted to the ECU in Basic Settings 060, some software versions can have the idle raised in Adaptations 10, block 02 by raising the value from 128 up to a max of around 136 which adds a few hundred rpm.

Thanks Crasher, not sure if I am doing it right or if my software does not support this but the TB adaption is done through basic settings 060 but when I do Adaption 10 and channel 2 I get value 832 (I assume channel and block is the same thing). What am I doing wrong.

The ECU may not be capable of idle adjustment, only a few are.
