View Full Version : Please Help 1995 audi coupe 2.6 v6, cant get started after crash

hi all im new to this site but require some help if anyone can, just picked up smashed audi coupe 1995 n reg 2.6 v6 of a close pal it ran fine before crash towed back home stripped front end of damage my main issue is i cant get it start, im not to sure if this is electronic issue or mechanical fault any ideas please would be of use thanks daz:zx11:

You might do better to post more info. Does it turn over? Does it sound normal turning over? Have you checked for a spark? Have you checked for fuel flow? Have you checked for any fault codes?
Give the guys on here something to work with and they might be able to help.

Just a thought, but don't cars of that era have a safety fuel cut-off that operates automatically in the event of a severe shunt? If your car has one, it will need to be reset before fuel will flow again.

thanks for reply mate, everything seems normal other than no spark, tested sensors and all appear to be ok, had a guy local come to read ecu its showing crank and cam sensor faults, so ive orderd new 1nsgona have a crack at it tomoz

A fault at the cam sensor (hall sender) or one of the crank sensors will kill the spark.

The V6 has the crank sensors same as the 5 pot, the hall sender is at the back of the cam: http://www.12v.org/engine/index.php?section=cl&view=rear

Maybe check the pin in the flywheel if you can't find anything else?
