Phaeton or not

I have had a 2003 Passat tdi for the last 5 years & really like the look of the Phaeton, I would look at the 3.0 V6 Tdi 2007 or maybe 2008 depending on the price, does anyone have any advice to offer on potential problems, what to look out for & avoid????

3.0 V6 TDI is a good engine. Look for FSH by VW or specialist garage. Check specs of cars your viewing and make sure everything works as minor electrical issues can be expensive to fix.
Make sure auto box is smooth with changes and look for any oil changes if applicable.
Make sure A/c system works fully.
Listen for any drivetrain noises on roadtest going round corners etc.

my brotherinlaw is a mechanic and his best mates phaeton has cost a small fortune for electrical issues ,everything is electric on them so start saving
