VW Satnav choices

Considering fitting a VW satnav system to a B6 Passat, it seems to be a right minefield though... is there an FAQ anywhere showing

1) the differences in the units
2) which units are compatable with the B6

There appear to be a lot of Eastern Europeans selling units on Fleabay - anyone had any experience with them? I know there a lot of scammers out there :(

I am in the same dilema...

Would love to buy one, but I don't like the idea of sending £500 to eastern europe without seeing what I am actually buying.

I think the one to go for is the "Version C"....

Often quoted with part number 1KO 035 198C
