Central Locking Problem

Hi there,
I have an audi A5 2008. The central locking is not working currently. It is keyless entry and it does not open. When i've also tried using just the fob it also does not open. I have to enter the car manually by taking apart the fob.
Each time i go to use the keyless entry or click the fob to open the car it makes a noise as if it has become unlocked but nothing happens.


Any idea of what's going on?

Yep, I only just recently changed it.
I've been having a similar problem with the fuel cap release, which actually preceded this problem. That is an intermittent problem. I'm pretty sure there is a signal being sent to the car from the fob!?
