Silver trim

I have been looking at the new golf SE and was shocked by how dreadful the silver dash trim looks. From the photos is looks like the cheapest of the Ford focus range from 5 years ago. Any way of avoiding the trim and haveing the smart black from the GT?

Having seen it in the flesh in Germany, I think it's looks worse in pictures than it does in the flesh.

It is only trim so I suppose it would be possible to change it for the glossy black but no doubt it would not be cheap, but Audi UK have decreed that all drives who like the SE will like the aluminium trim. I think you will find the same trim is used on some models in the Passat range as well.

Reminds me of the MK5 Golf Match from 6 years ago, but that somehow looked less offensive.

Having seen both finishes next to each in Wolfsburg, I personally prefer the brushed stainless steel to the glossy black plastic.
