Q7 has been a little poorly as of late. car is 2006 3.0 tdi with 59k.

Took it to the garage for a grinding noise, and Audi kindly diagnosed £1800 of repairs.

1. Air Intake Manifold - Bank 1 - Bank 2 was changed back in March.....ouch.
2. Turbo Damper and breather pipe, leaking oil
3. Clips on handbrake cable rubbing against the driveshaft, hence the grinding noise.
4. Airbag Light on - steering sender unit connector.

Much of it has been agreed to be paid by Warranty direct apart from the handbrake cable clips, and the sender unit.

They are nice to drive, and very comfortable, but there is a lot to go wrong and when they do, the Audi garages must love these cars coming in for check.

When I picked the car up, I asked for the old parts, which they said, since I never asked for them to be kept at the start, they disposed of them.

Quick Update.

Warranty direct refused to pay for the handbrake cable clips.

clips for the handbrake cable can be bought for 79p from Audi, and its a doddle to change them. MY mechanic didn't even want to charge, I made sure he had his beer money.

Audi wanted £240 to put the clip on!!!!

Airbag light was the steering sender unit connector.

Good news!

I guess that's why an Audi warranty is worth it?!?
