2.7 CVT and servicing

Hi all

Does the cvt with flappy paddles require an oil change or service of any sort. I've had mixed advice. The trusted garage I use told me it was a sealed unit and didn't need anything.

Mine seems to make a noise when I ease off the acceleration. Like a scraping noise as it goes down the gears I assume.

Bit worried. Any help will be appreciated

My B8 2.7 multitronic needs servicing at 40k intervals, I am not sure if this is cvt sorry as I am knew to Audis. I just had mine done at an Indie at a cost of £180 which is not much cheaper than a dealer but I combined it with a full service. The oil that is used is around £12 p/litre I am told.

Cvt and multitronic are the same thing - it needs fluid and filter changed every 40k
