Battery negative off - drivers airbag off - steering wheel off - steering trim off - slip ring off* - steering angle sensor off* - steering ecu out - switch pack off - new switch pack on then the reverse of what you've done.

And coded with vcds - don't start until you know you can get it coded

*cant remember order of those two

Hi,
I've just fitted cruise control to my A4 B8 2.0TDI. I've had it coded and its working fine but now my multifunction buttons don't work on the steering wheel. The VCDS is coming up with this:
1 Fault Found:
02071 - Local Databus
012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 01101100
Fault Priority: 3
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset Counter: 218
Mileage: 157670 km
Time Indication: 0
Date: 2013.08.03
Time: 18:32:17

Does anyone have any pointers? It was fine before I fitted the new stalk assembly. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
