Concequences of re-mapping

Im new to this so I thought id post my first message,
I own a Passat 130PD Sport I was thinking about getting it re-mapped, and was just wondering what everyone's views were on this ie the concequences etc cheers

Look in the tuning section and you'll see that there is a rolling road day planned for 16th sept in bromsgrove, Depending on your location, why don't you go along and whilst your there you can see exactly whats involved and answer any of your questions. That is why i'm going.:D

The only consequences for me were an extra 40bhp, 80NM of torque and increased miles per gallon. No brainer, Its all win win. Best thing i ever did!!

tuning box gain 25 30 bhp and you can unplug if needed
remap is a permanant fixture ?

pd130, now running at 260bhp. Find it very difficult to wipe the :D :D off my face when I use all those ponies. Still doing an average of around 55mpg - which equates to around 550 miles on £40. :)

There are switchable maps out there for stock and map, also switches that can handle more than one map.
