Can a break fluid change be done by myself?

If so does anyone have any usefull tips?

Thanks

Start with the wheel furthest away from the master cylinder and then the next furthest and so on. What method are you using? 1 or 2 man?

Audi charge £59 to supply and change the fluid.

i was wanting to do it myself, so 1 man.

how is it done 1 wheel at a time, do you mean bleading the air?

also is it possible to change the gear box oil by yourself rather than taking it to a a garage?

I'm not questioning your mechanical skills but for the sake of £59 I'd be taking it to Audi especially because its park of the braking system.

my mechanical skills are fine,

im just trying to understand what to do and why,

I know its only £59 but thats 59 i could save,

i also want to renew the gear box fluid so it quickly gets expensive!

You can do anything yourself if you want to. I once converted a Mercedes 190 from petrol to diesel without a lift or ramp. Count the cost of brake fluid min 2 L plus a one man bleeder or vacuum pump or similar. If you let it run out of fluid you'll need VCDS to cycle the ABS pump. Dealer will charge you 80 ish to plug in his computer. £59.00 is a bargain.

crasher or a8 would be able to say for sure, but i don't think a gunsons easibleed runs at enough pressure to do a newer audi.

If you have the tools and a safe place to work, go for it.

by the looks of it the break fluid change is just too risky!

a trip to audi for that 1 i think.

what about the gear box oil change, is that a difficult job?
