Passat due for MOT - Door mirror indicator fail

Hi all,
The Passat (53 ) B5.5 is due for an MOT tomorrow and the drivers door indicator lens is cracked and the unit is kaputt.
This is an instant fail and needs rectified ASAP

Did a search or two on this and other sites and almost gave up as I couldn't find one to help.

eventually found one that looks great with a write up + pics ( always a bonus )

Simple enough to do but Ebay indicators are very dim (pass MOT though!), oem are very expensive!
