not one to complain <wink> long and short of it, middle of longsight, some passat took a dislike to me, thought he'd run me off the road, the results of which are below.

took APC at a 2:1 mix, White spirit and a whole lot of elbow grease to get the stuff off :Blush2:

wheels were then polished with SRP, sealed with EGP and then xxx'd afterwards, of course, i couldnt leave the car with just one wheel clean and the rest of it filthy, so....

A great clean up there, not exactly a 5 min job either.
Good stuff.

i know... i really wanted to leather him, but that guy on my shoulder said no :(

i dont know if you can see it, but in the very last picture, you can see some 'bronzing' of the wheel, presumably where he has 'burnt' my wheel?

is there anyway to get this off, or am i better off just leaving it, im not bothering to refurb the wheels, they're all pretty badly kerbed and chipped so i may as well get new rims to be honest :Blush2:

Its possibly tarnished the lacquer?

It may be possible to remove it ...

Need to see it in the flesh really?

Do you not fancy refurbing the alloys yourself?

Quite straightforward and you can do one at a time?

Ps you did right not to react... so many deaths etc caused by a "nothing incident" and someone carrying a knife etc, just not worth it!

im not sure.... the wheels are quite badly chipped, especially around some of the nut holes where the old set of locking nuts had to be knocked out :( if you think its possible though, id be more than willing to give it a go with some advice ;)

we're supposed to be meeting up soon to go to costco anyway :approve:

Maybe I could give you some pointers etc, should you come with me to costco?

Did you want to go in the next week or so?
