This is the first time in ages i've had chance to post up my latest efforts. this caravan belongs to my mother (yes the same one who doesnt clean her terrano!) it had been stood for over 12 months before coming home to get cleaned inside and out, i had the lovely job of cleaning the outside <rolls eyes> off to lidl it was, to get myself some APC (not had need for it before), also picked up some handy spray bottles and a nice big sponge mop for doing the roof (swirls wont be a problem on the material the van's made of ;))

method and pics below :
presoaked in 10:1 APC, mainly focusing on window trims, arches and tight trims
rinsed and washed with Carplan triplewax (it does the job :p)
rinsed and dried
wheels treated with apc, scrubbed and rinsed
running strips were covered in moss and mould, so another treatment of APC, a handy nail brush and a lot of elbow grease, shifted this.
rinsed again
started on the side panels and back end, required a lot of work on the back to shift the dirt (see pics)
front end washed and rinsed (not that hard compared to the rest)
entire caravan sealed with EGP, buffed with cotton cloth (pointless using a m/f)
tyres treated with AG instant tyre dressing, trims sealed with EGP
windows treated with AG fast glass.Pics :

You must love cleaning carl..... When can i bring my motor around???

I can see (and almost feel) the sense of achievment you get from this sort of thing.

Keep it up, looks good

i've always got a massive sense of achievement of 'restoring' things, i bang on about them, but i've got a second horsebox now, Ford D series, around 25/30 years old, in a bit of a state, currently being restored, i did the last Ford D we had, we paid £1200 for it, 18 months later, some absolute fool thought it would be nice to burn it out, we got a payout from the insurance company for £3800 without any arguments.

trust me, when you've worked hard for 3/4 days or longer, and you see the end results and just think to yourself "yeah, i did that" it makes you feel proud mate :approve:

as for bringing yours around, feel free ;)

Really nice job, we caravan so I know how hard it is to achieve those results.

An inspiration and lots of perspiration to do it:D
